Scarlet Moon is thrilled to announce that composer Yuko Komiyama has joined her roster of musical talents.
Komiyama – best known for her work on the monster hunter and Mega Man X series – is eager to delve into indie game development and put her skills to work for projects big and small. In addition to his work on these legendary Capcom franchises,
Komiyama worked with Square Enix on the arrangements for the Final Fantasy Archive Keeper, Final Fantasy Pixel Remasterand Kingdom Hearts series, composed music for Disney on their Tsum Tsum and Big Hero 6 animations and contributed to the music for the publicity of the Pokemon series. Yuko Komiyama is a composer and arranger based in Osaka, Japan. She learned to play the electone (electric organ) at an early age and learned bass, percussion and many other instruments in her school orchestras. She went on to study performance, music theory and instrumental music, focusing on several genres including film music, game soundtracks, orchestra, techno, funk and more.
After graduating from the music academy, she joined Capcom in 2002, where she oversaw and composed music for the Mega Man X and monster hunter series, including live orchestral recordings for Monster Hunter Tri, registered in the Czech Republic. She also composed the main themes of Monster Hunter: World and Monster Hunter World: Icebornboth recorded in Nashville, Tennessee.
In 2010, Komiyama left Capcom and then resumed his musical activities in his personal study, comymusic. There she arranged the music for many beloved series such as Disney’s Tsum Tsum animated series, Final Fantasyand Kingdom Heartsas well as the creation of music for the national and international advertising industry, including for POKEMON.
