My Hero Academia Composer To Attend Anime NYC

Anime NYC will host the series composer who will perform the music from the show and films at a special event.


Anime NYC will host composer Yuki Hayashi, Funimation announced on Tuesday. Hayashi will perform the music he wrote for the My hero university amine alongside a band and an orchestra.

Soundtrec will produce the concert and the event is co-hosted by the Consulate General of Japan in New York.

Hayashi will perform at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan on November 19 starting at 8:00 p.m. EST. The “My Hero Academia Official Live Concert” will celebrate the North American opening of the third My hero university movie, My Hero Academia THE MOVIE: The mission of the heroes of the world.


Hayashi’s work has appeared in a variety of television series, movies, and animated series over the years. Her first credited role was in the 2009s Triangle, and he has since worked on popular series such as Pokémon, Shaman King, Death Parade, the PreCure series, and many others. He also worked for the Erased live action movie as well as popular animated movies like One Piece: Golden Movie and Blue spring walk.

Hayashi worked on all five seasons of My hero university as well as his three feature films. He recently worked on Zexcs’ Backflip !! Sports anime, and is expected to work on its 2022 film as well as music for the I like to play everything anime based on the novel series of the same name by Asami Koseki.

Kōhei Horikoshi’s My hero university manga began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in 2014. The series has won a variety of awards, and its popularity has inspired light novel adaptations, two musicals, video game adaptations and more specifically, a longtime anime adaptation.

The My hero university the anime is produced by Studio Bones and first aired in 2016. 116 episodes and 5 OVAs were produced and spread over five seasons. A sixth season is in preparation.

Viz Media publishes the manga in English, while Funimation licenses the anime overseas. My Hero Academia: Mission of the Heroes of the World released on August 6 in Japan and made its theatrical debut on October 29 in North America, Ireland and the UK.
